While we wait for a proper recording of these masterworks (only no. 3 has appeared so far), I'd like to highlight that this is the first time I am able to listen to Op. 59 no. 2 in the performing style and with the instruments Beethoven had in mind. I haven't listened to this work for at least ten years and it is especially close to my heart.
