    1. It is explained in the comment on Facebook. "The colonial music of the time was a reflection of the complexity of American society. Brazilian anthropologist Lélia González redubbed Ibero-America as Améfrica Ladina: this epithet allows for a more correct interpretation of the polychoral works that were performed not only by the Spanish and their descendants, but also by mestizo and indigenous singers, as well as African instrumentalists."
