  1. I was there. Strange experience: choir standing in front of the orchestra and the Mass in C interspersed with organ chorales?? IMHO it ruined the concert.
    But I've never heard the Andante con moto from the 4th Piano Concerto more moving.

    1. I was surprised about the organ as well. In an interview on Klara, Hengelbrock did not mention it. He did mention the position of the choir. He stated that this was in line with common practice in the 17th and 18th centuries. Obviously, that is something you don't notice on the radio.
