  1. Whilst I really appreciate your blog, there is in recent months, an unduly heavy emphasis, for whatever reason, on renaissance and early baroque music. Great for lovers of such. But, if possible, a little more mid to late classical, and early romantic would really be appreciated. Not a criticism. Simply a request. Many thanks for what you do.

    1. It is true that in recent weeks I have posted mostly early music. I have focused on Passion repertoire, and there is more of such music from the renaissance and baroque periods than from the classical and romantic eras (if there is such music, it is not performed). I try to be balanced and offer recordings of music from different periods, but I am dependent on what radio channels are covering. Moreover, I prefer performances of repertoire that is not 'mainstream', and unfortunately performers of classical and romantic music are often not very adventurous. But I hope to upload more music of later periods in the next weeks.
